IPTV on Roku: What Actually Works
Roku does not allow sideloading, so IPTV Smarters cannot be installed on it. Here is what genuinely works instead - screen mirroring and AirPlay - and when a different device is the better answer.

Understand the constraint first
Roku is a closed platform. It does not permit sideloading, and IPTV Smarters is not carried in the Roku Channel Store. Any guide claiming to install it directly on a Roku is describing something that does not exist. What follows are the methods that actually work.

Set the service up on a phone or computer
Install IPTV Smarters on an Android phone, iPhone, or a Windows or Mac computer, and sign in there first. That device becomes the source; the Roku only displays what it sends.

Enable screen mirroring on the Roku
On the Roku, open Settings, then System, then Screen mirroring, and set the mode to Prompt or Always allow. On newer Roku models you can instead enable AirPlay under Settings, then Apple AirPlay and HomeKit.

Cast from your device
From an Android phone or Windows PC, open the notification shade or Action Centre and choose Cast or Project, then pick your Roku. From an iPhone or Mac, open Control Centre and use Screen Mirroring to select the Roku.

Start playback
Open IPTV Smarters on the source device and play a channel. It appears on the television. Keep the source device unlocked and awake, since locking the screen ends the mirror.
Tips for this device
- Be realistic about this method. Mirroring adds a hop, drains the phone battery quickly, ties up the device you are casting from, and gives a lower and less stable picture than running the app natively.
- If you watch regularly, a Firestick or an Android box costs very little and runs IPTV Smarters properly with none of these compromises. On a Roku household that is usually the better purchase.
- Roku TVs have an HDMI input. Plugging a Firestick into your existing Roku TV works perfectly and you keep the Roku for everything else.
If something does not work
Most problems at this stage come down to a typo in the credentials or an interrupted first sync. Re-enter the details carefully, watching for capital letters and trailing spaces, then let the guide finish loading before touching anything.
