1. Introduction

Apollo Group TV ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it.

We have deliberately designed the service to collect as little personal data as possible. There is no account registration on this website, no user profile, and no password for you to manage here. The less we hold, the less there is to lose.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Order information: the email address you provide at checkout, the plan purchased, the purchase date and the term length. This is the minimum needed to deliver and support your subscription.
  • Payment information: processed entirely by our third-party payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a transaction reference. We do not receive, store or have access to your full card number.
  • Support correspondence: the messages you send us and our replies, including any technical details you choose to share such as device model or error text.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page and pages viewed. This is collected in server logs and, where enabled, aggregate analytics.
  • Cookie data: as described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not collect special category data, and we ask that you do not send us any.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data only for the purposes set out below:

  • To deliver your subscription, including sending your access credentials
  • To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries
  • To process payments and maintain records required for accounting and tax purposes
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, credential sharing and abuse of the service
  • To maintain and improve the security, stability and performance of the service
  • To comply with legal obligations to which we are subject

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Where data protection law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the subscription you have purchased and to support it
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand in aggregate how the site is used
  • Legal obligation: to retain transaction records and to respond to lawful requests
  • Consent: for any optional analytics or marketing cookies, which you may withdraw at any time

5. Sharing your information

We share personal data only with parties that help us operate the service, and only to the extent necessary:

  • Payment processors, to take payment and handle refunds and chargebacks
  • Email and infrastructure providers, to deliver messages and host the website
  • Analytics providers, where analytics is enabled and you have consented
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so

All such providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where personal data is transferred outside the jurisdiction in which it was collected, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, including relying on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where applicable.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for:

  • Order records: retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law, typically six to seven years
  • Support correspondence: retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed
  • Server logs: typically retained for up to 90 days
  • Analytics data: retained in aggregate form according to the settings of the analytics provider

When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, and regular review of our providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant authority and, where required, affected individuals without undue delay.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access: to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: to have inaccurate data corrected
  • Erasure: to have your data deleted, where no overriding obligation requires us to keep it
  • Restriction: to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
  • Portability: to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
  • Objection: to object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, at any time
  • Complain: to your local data protection authority

10. Children

The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date at the top of the page shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be brought to your attention by reasonable means.
